Helping people, one puppy at a time.

Your Golden Poppy Puppy
Health, reservations, training, and a thoughtful start at home.
Health comes first
Our breeding dogs are AKC registered and screened for hips, elbows, eyes, and heart. Additional genetic testing helps us plan each pairing thoughtfully. Ask us about the health records for your puppy’s parents. Full health guarantee terms are in our puppy contract.
Reservations & deposits
Our current contract lists a puppy price of $3,500 and a $500 nonrefundable deposit, credited toward the purchase price. A signed agreement and deposit are both required for the reservation list. Contact us about availability before sending payment, and read the full contract for reservation and cancellation terms.
Training & daily life
Our early foundation begins with ENS within the first 24 hours, early scent introduction, and scent imprinting. We introduce scents associated with future panic-attack, diabetes, seizure, and other medical-alert training, alongside everyday sounds, new surfaces, and positive interaction. Medical-alert work requires continued training and individual evaluation. Our training partner, Willow Garden Wellness, offers another connection for your puppy’s next steps.
Go-home day & beyond
Our puppies join their families at eight weeks of age, with pickup arrangements confirmed directly with us. You will receive your puppy’s medication and vaccination record. We welcome updates and remain available for questions as your Golden Poppy puppy grows.
Golden Retriever puppies expected early 2027
We are planning for puppies in early 2027, raised in our home in Stockton, California. Timing is an estimate; we will share updates as plans are confirmed.
Interested in a Golden Poppy puppy? Tell us about your family, your timing, and what you are looking for in a companion or future service-dog prospect. Contact us to ask about upcoming plans, the reservation process, and puppy updates. Please speak with us before sending a deposit.
A closer look at how we raise puppies
Explore the early experiences behind the overview.
The first days: ENS and gentle beginnings
Our hands-on work begins within the first 24 hours with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). It is one part of our broader approach to raising puppies in our home, alongside Avidog and Puppy Culture practices.
We think about development as a series of small introductions rather than one milestone. The first days begin a foundation that we continue building through scent experiences, everyday household life, and age-appropriate routines. Each puppy is an individual, and our aim is to offer a thoughtful start before the next chapter with their family.
Early scent introduction and imprinting
Scent work is a distinct part of our puppy-raising program. We include both early scent introduction and scent imprinting, including cortisol/adrenaline scents as a foundation for future panic-attack alert training, plus scents associated with diabetes, seizures, and other medical-alert work.
Imprinting is an introduction to a scent, not a finished alert behavior. A future medical-alert dog needs continued, specialized training and individual evaluation. Families interested in this path can speak with us about their goals and how early scent exposure fits into the longer training journey.
Everyday life, one experience at a time
Growing up in our home gives puppies a beginning in the sights, sounds, and rhythms of family life. Our program includes everyday sounds, different surfaces, positive interaction, and age-appropriate introductions to new experiences.
We also begin litter-box habits, crate training, dog-door use, and recall foundations before go-home day. These are introductions for families to continue, rather than a promise that an eight-week-old puppy has mastered every skill. Familiar routines, patient repetition, and ongoing training help carry that foundation into a new home.
Companion or service prospect: the next chapter
Our purpose is helping people, one puppy at a time. For some families, that means a treasured companion. For others, it means exploring a prospect for future service-dog work. Early experiences are a beginning in either journey.
Service work requires additional training and individual evaluation, and a puppy’s future suitability cannot be guaranteed. We welcome conversations about your goals before a reservation. Our training partner, Willow Garden Wellness, is another connection for continued support, and we remain available for questions as your Golden Poppy puppy grows.
Puppy Questions
How do I learn about available puppies?
Contact us for current availability and planned litters. We would love to learn about your family and help you explore the next steps.
How are your puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised in our home with Avidog and Puppy Culture practices. ENS begins within the first 24 hours. We also include early scent introduction and scent imprinting, along with age-appropriate introductions to everyday life and foundational routines before go-home day.
What scent imprinting do you include?
Our program includes cortisol/adrenaline scents as an early foundation for future panic-attack alert training, plus scents associated with diabetes, seizures, and other medical-alert work. Early imprinting is a starting point for continued training, not a guarantee of future detection or alerting ability.
Will my puppy be a trained service dog?
Our early work gives puppies a foundation. Service work requires additional training and individual evaluation; a puppy’s future suitability cannot be guaranteed.
